KNCV Gold Medal awarded to Caroline E. Paul

🚨 Exciting News! 🚨


We are thrilled to announce that Caroline E. Paul, Associate Professor at Delft University of Technology, has been awarded the KNCV Gold Medal 2024, the most prestigious Dutch science prize for a chemist under the age of 40. This award recognizes her groundbreaking contributions and her future potential for even more impactful achievements.


The jury highlighted Caroline Paul’s visionary and highly original #research on expanding the possibilities of #biocatalysis, which not only pushes the boundaries of fundamental science but also holds relevance for #sustainable industrial applications. Her international reputation is evidenced by numerous publications in top-tier scientific journals and prestigious awards, such as the European Research Council (ERC) Starting Grant,

#ChemistryEuropeFellowship, and the NWO (Dutch Research Council) ENW XL and XS Grants.


In addition to her scientific accomplishments, the jury recognized Caroline E. Paul as an inspiring #teacher and dedicated #mentor, setting up the NextGenBiocat initiative (https://nextgenbiocat.org/) to support early-career researchers.
