Happy International Women's day! 🌍🌸

For all people who thought the W in W-BioCat was only metal related, meet all the Women of our team in Delft!

They contribute to the project from Science to Project Management, while at the same time creating a collaborative and inclusive atmosphere.

Alice – Exploring the characteristics of native Pfu AOR and improving their carboxylic acid reduction conditions

Yutong – Cultivating Pfu AOR on a large scale in 15L bioreactors for large scale protein production and characterization.

Puck – Exploring the recombinant expression and characterization of several GAPOR enzymes in E. coli , including Pfu GAPOR

Caroline – Focuses on the development of non-natural enzymatic reactions for applications in organic chemistry

Deborah – Focuses on the creation of a recombinant expression of W-containing enzymes in E. coli, including Pfu AOR, for the large scale expression of functional W-enzymes.

Ane - Manages and oversees W-BioCat project to ensure timely delivery within scope and budget

Here’s to some more years of supporting, empowering, and learning from one another ✨💚
